Faragalla group was founded in 1973 by Eng. Mohamed Farag Amer who is now the chairman of the industrial complex. The group currently is considered to be one of the biggest and most diversified food companies in the Middle East. The industrial operations are located at New Borg El-Arab city, 50 km far from Alexandria. Under this group there are 3 separate food processing companies encompassing 22 production lines and all of them are certified for ISO 22000, ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and HACCP, plus a newly established distribution company for the sales and marketing of the international produced brands being produced and distributed in accordance with co packing and licensing agreements.

Faragalla group is considered to be the leading company in the field of food industry due to the variety of products of high quality. It is considered to be the biggest and most diversified food industrial compound in the Middle East. The Egyptian company for freezing and beef processing obtained the ISO 9002 Certificate to be ranked as first company in the middle east in the field of food that can achieve this certificate , and because the groups interest in adopting safety and quality systems as an important principle in the production process the group also has obtained various several other certificates (ISO9001 – ISO9002 ISO 22001 – ISO 14001 – ISO17025 ) We are preparing the Egyptian company for freezing and beef processing and the Egyptian food company to achieve ISO18001 and ISO17025 respectively.

Faragalla group was honored by the compliment of his Excellency Mr. President “Mohamed Hosni Mubarak" about Mr. “Mohamed Farag Amer” for being an example of the self-made businessman who built himself by himself as an example to be followed by Egyptian youth, this was during his Excellency’s visit to fargalla group in 6th of January 2004.
